Here’s a collection of fantasy-themed CC that’s split into two sections: CAS items you can use to create fictional creatures and mystical beings—plus some Build Mode goodies to decorate your own fantastical stages, backdrops, and settings.
MM CAS Fantasy Items
1. Aqua Cat Fin Ears and Fish Tails by sai1orrabbit
Check Out This CC You’ve heard of mermaids, but how about mercats and merkittens? This Aqua Cat set by sai1orrabbit introduces this wild, wacky concept with two CAS items for pets: a pair of fin-like ears and a cute fish tail. Honestly? Not the craziest creature concept out there.
2. Dionysus – Things for Cloven Folk by pyxis
Check Out This CC For fauns, satyrs, deer-folk, and other mythical beings with similar features, pyxis’s Dionysus CAS pack is a must-have. This set for cloven folk includes a round animal nose with a line down the philtrum, eyeliner with a defined inner corner, some tiny antlers, and a tiny, tufted tail.
3. Gossamer – Fairy Stuff CC by pyxis
Check Out This CC I love pyxis’s take on fairies. Their custom wings, antennae, and skin details make them seem more bug- and insect-like than the typical flitting, fluttering stereotype we’re all used to. And I think the name of this CC set suits the vibe of the items perfectly. They do, indeed, feel very faint and fleeting.
4. Fairy Set by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC Whereas pyxis’s Gossamer set is better suited for dainty, delicate fairies, this set by Natalia-Auditore is best for creating bold, powerful, self-assured nature spirits. The kind who won’t hesitate to attack if their territory is being threatened. I mean, look at those full-body tattoos. These fairies aren’t messing around.
5. Aloha! – An Eyeset by pyxis
Check Out This CC Fantasy creatures typically sport unusual, inhuman eyes. Weird pupil shapes, glowing irises, blood-red sclera… you get the gist. Pyxis certainly does, and they’ve created multiple eye options out of it. Make sure to check out the swatches (linked in the description!) to see what cool, fantastical combinations you can make with this set.
6. Galaxmi’s Uncanny Skintones by galaxmi
Check Out This CC Before anything else, may I just say that it was the Fallen Warrior skintone that led me here? I am a dramatic soul, clearly, so both the name and the Sim model in the preview photo drew me in. She looks like an intergalactic warrior that fell to earth. And if that isn’t just the coolest concept, I don’t know what is. Basically, this pack contains four new unnatural skintones with some unique details and gradient patterns. They’re great choice for creating unearthly beings!
7. Qunari Horns Collection by Valhallan: Part 1 of 2
Check Out This CC Based off of character horns from an actual fantasy game franchise, these Qunari horns are perfect for a number of fantastical beasts and beings. Tieflings, demons, satyrs, dragonfolk… you name it, you can probably find a horn for it. After all, there are nine variations in this set.
8. Male Centaur & Female Centaur by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC I have encountered this CC several times already and the sheer genius of it never fails to impress me. It’s basically pants modeled and coded to look like the lower half of a horse, so that when your Sim “wears” the pants, they turn into a centaur. Do you know how many fantasy scenes you could recreate with just these custom pants alone? P.S. There’s also a version for Female frames.
9. Witch Hunter Outfit by kennetha_v
Check Out This CC This custom outfit by kennetha_v looks like it came straight from some medieval fantasy television show. A book with religious symbols, strategic body armor, and plenty of layers? These are the clothes of a hunter seasoned enough to opt for fashionable garb that doesn’t compromise functionality and practicality.
10. SBH’s Wearable Staff by storybookhawke
Check Out This CC Spellcasters and mages are typically never seen without their staves. If it’s not in their hands, it’s strapped to their back via some jury-rigged carrying case. This wearable staff accessory perfectly recreates the latter situation as it’s coded to stick to a Sims’ back—like a backpack or a pair of wings. There are five staves in this set, including the Staff of Parthalan, the Fire Archon Staff, and the Apostates Courage.
11. Grounders & Norsemen Warpaint by necroberrysims (recolor by Valhallan)
Check Out This CC How do medieval fantasy warriors gear up for battle? They slap on some war paint. As far as I know, war paint was mainly used to intimidate enemies and indicate which side you were on. But in the context of fantasy settings, you gotta admit; war paint just looks plain cool. The original designs themselves (10 in total) are from necroberrysims. Valhallan’s recolor adds 40 more color options to each design.
12. Tentacles Mermaid Tail by Zaneida & The Sims 4
Check Out This CC Sure, The Sims 4: Island Living introduces really beautiful mermaids. But where are the more sinister sea-dwellers? The creatures of the deep that sailors tell devastating stories about, just so young blood will exercise caution before sailing? With Zaneida & The Sims 4’s custom Tentacles Mermaid tail, you can now easily make an evil, ruthless siren of your own!
13. Nenps Fish Scales Recolor by weepingsimmer
Check Out This CC I will recommend these scales at every opportunity I get, and that’s because they’re so good. They honestly look like well-placed body glitter, what with the way the creator designed them. If you want a subtle and visually pleasing way to hint at a being’s nautical heritage, these body scales are hands-down one of the best ways to do so.
14. Goblin Ears by tekri
Check Out This CC The goblin model in the preview photo is gorgeous. Who’d have thought that was even possible? That aside, if you ever need to introduce these green-skinned menaces into your game, these custom ears are a great find. They’re long, large, pointy, and they come with bare and decorated options.
15. Skull Face by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC Is it truly a fantasy game if the heroes don’t brush up against death – as either a person or a concept – at least once? Even if you aren’t creating the anthropomorphic personification of death, this custom skull head can still be useful in a myriad of other concepts. An undead army, an unbeatable lich, a haunting specter… plenty of choices, indeed.
16. Zelda Hair by simandy
Check Out This CC This hair is apparently so-named because it gives the creator’s followers heavy Legend of Zelda vibes. I mean, given the dainty braids, the braided crown design, and the delicate white flower accents? Yeah, I have to agree. If you ever need to make an ethereal, one-with-the-universe elven maiden, this hair is a must. P.S. we also have a list of Zelda-themed CC too!
17. Link Cloak by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC While we’re on the topic of Legend of Zelda, here’s Link’s cloak. Oversized hood, dramatic, swoosh-y material, and mysterious arcane symbols? This is a fantasy cloak for sure.
18. Morgana Hair + Cloak Sorbets Remix Recolor by Natalia-Auditore | recolor by infiniteraptor
Check Out This CC I get why the name “Morgana” is synonymous with “cunning, powerful, and sort-of-evil spellcaster.” I mean, she’s more than capable of kicking King Arthur’s butt seven ways to Sunday, Excalibur or no. On the other hand, I’m not sure how the name also became synonymous with hooded cloaks and red hair. But that’s what Natalia-Auditore’s CAS set is: long hair and a hooded cloak. If you want more color options, grab infiniteraptor’s recolor of it in the Sorbets Remix palette.
19. Seraphim by valhallan
Check Out This CC Build a divine, holy warrior in CAS with valhallan’s Seraphim head accessory. It’s apparently inspired by – if not straight-up converted from – Tyrael, everyone’s favorite justice-driven archangel from Blizzard’s Diablo and Heroes of the Storm franchise. For mythical and mythological fantasy settings, these head wings would be great for daeva and Valkyrie-type characters.
20. Eyebrow Dump – The Witching Hour by rachirdsims
Check Out This CC Out of all the eyebrows in this aptly-titled Eyebrow Dump, I’m actually only recommending two for fantasy Sims builds: the Teru’s Eyebrows by suspiciously pink lady, and its-lunnarise’s Fragmented Eyebrows. Because they’re both strange enough and oddly-shaped enough that I can see them belonging to unearthly or unnatural beings. If you need more swatch options, rachirdsims’s recolor of them adds 35 colors from Pyxis’s (@pyxiidis) The Witching Hour palette.
21. Fantasy Wings – Insects by Bellassims
Check Out This CC Like Pyxis’s Gossamer fairy set, these fantasy wings by Bellassims are based off of tiny, fragile insect wings. I am genuinely in love with this concept, and I think the execution turned out excellent. I mean, look at the Luna Moth and Glasswing versions. So pretty!
22. Of the Earth – Plantsim Stuff by Pyxis
Check Out This CC Did you know that PlantSims are a real thing? Yup! They canonically exist in the TS4 universe. Why aren’t they advertised more? Because you can only get them by having your Sim eat something called a Forbidden Fruit that you can only get by entering the Mystical Magic Bean Portal Tree. There are a lot of steps to achieving this life state, so why not save yourself the trouble and just use Pyxis’s CAS pack to create your own leafy Sims pal? The custom hair, vine-like veins, and seasonal skintones make for cuter PlantSims, anyway.
23. Inquisition Collection by Nolan-Sims
Check Out This CC When I tell you this pack is stuffed, I mean it is stuffed. Just look at all the download links at the bottom of the page. There are fourteen separate .package files. And they are all high-quality CAS stuff that any fantasy fan (but especially Dragon Age: Inquisition players) will no doubt love. From the custom Skyhold outfits to the gorgeous Lavellan braids (which is a hairstyle I personally love and use even outside of a fantasy setting), this CC pack is an absolute treat.
24. Jupiter’s Eagle by objuct
Check Out This CC I don’t know about you, but these wings immediately made me think of harpies and Aarakocras. You know; all those fine-feathered folk. The creator describes these wings as “chunky” and “stylized,” and I have to agree that they look awesome regardless.
25. Intuition Eye Set by simandy
Check Out This CC These aren’t specifically labeled as fantasy eyes, but – as you can see from the previews – there’s a fair amount of unnatural and otherworldly styles going on. I mean, given that these are meant as default replacements for both normal and occult Sims, the strange eye colors and details make sense. But in the context of this article, you could definitely use the vampires, aliens, and mermaid eyes for some magical, mythical creatures. Just sayin’!
MM Build & Buy Fantasy Items
26. Pagan Game Table by tinywardens
Check Out This CC I’m certain there’s a fair amount of supernatural fantasy stories that have started out with characters unknowingly participating in a lost, forgotten pagan ritual. If you turn a summoning circle into an innocent-looking game table, of course something’s going to happen. Whether or not that was the creator’s intention, this table (with all its unsettling symbols) definitely looks like it belongs on the set of some black magic mystery story.
27. World of Warcraft Cooking Decors by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC Whether your Sim is whipping up a bowl of human stew, a bloody potion, or some nice, hearty clam chowder, these outside cooking stations are exactly what they need. Do note that these aren’t actually usable! They’re meant to sit innocently – yet sinisterly – in the background of your shots.
28. Medieval Fire Pit by megukiru
Check Out This CC Now this cooking station is usable, but you’ll need The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat for it to work. If you have that pack installed, I highly recommend you add this to your mods folder. Because what epic adventure story doesn’t have a campfire cooking scene?
29. Tavern Decosim by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC If you’ve ever played D&D, you know that 85% of adventures start in a tavern. And who ever heard of an empty tavern—especially in a fantasy setting? Set the pre-adventure stage for your heroic Sims by filling up your tavern build with these decorative tavern-dwellers. They’re loud, colorful, dressed for the occasion—and they’ll save you the trouble of creating (and posing) multiple Sims.
30. Medieval Decosim 1 & 2 by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC Same brilliant concept as the same creator’s Tavern Decosim pack. This CC is more a general crowd set of Sims dressed up in medieval garb. And since a lot of fantasy media uses medieval elements in their worldbuilding and lore (hence the medieval-fantasy subgenre), it totally works! P.S. you can get part 2 of this set here!
31. Warcraft Pets #1 by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC Ever wanted a baby raptor, a spider, or a murloc as a pet for your Sims? Me too. Sadly, I don’t think EA is ever going to introduce mythical creatures as part of the Cats and Dogs pack, so we’re going to have to settle for purely decorative options. Hey, at least they photograph really well. And if you’re into World of Warcraft then you’ll be happy to know we have a list of CC dedicated to that as well.
32. Storm Dragon by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC Some Sims own an extensive collection of garden gnomes. Other Sims own expensive, million-Simoleon paintings. Your Sim? Your Sim owns a dragon. Before you place this in game, please take the creator’s description to heart. This dragon is, in fact, very huge.
33. Reviving Pool by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC This is basically a fancy respawn point (if the game you’re playing is kind enough to allow revival). Think the medieval-fantasy version of DC’s Lazarus Pit. The creator also has some very cool revival poses to use with this CC. They’ve linked them in the description!
34. Medieval Market Stuff Pack by SatiSim
Check Out This CC Get your shields, spellbooks, and potions for half-off! These merchant stalls definitely look like they’re part of a fantasy backdrop. What’s cool is that the items are actually separate from the stands. So you can mix and match the merchant wares to your heart’s content.
35. Merchant Table by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC As you can probably tell by the preview photos, this is a weapon’s merchant table. And if the swords, shields, and oversized crossbows weren’t clear enough, the description itself goes, “time to buy a new weapon.” Have fun browsing!
36. Shantiri Ruins by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC Succinctly described by the creator as “magic stuff for fantasy stories,” these Shantiri Ruins do, indeed, look like the top level of every ruins-based dungeon in every RPG fantasy game. I’m thinking the likes of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Seriously; look at that obelisk in the middle. You just know it’s got a puzzle on it your Sim needs to solve.
37. Dreambound: Functional Magic Circle as Meditation Stool by astreanevermore
Check Out This CC Okay, this? This is absolutely genius. Instead of having your Sims meditate ‘til they float over a tiny meditation stool, they can instead meditate ‘til they float over an arcane circle. It’s like a hundred times cooler to look at and definitely fits the parameters of some magical fantasy.
38. Wall Fountain by Natalia-Auditore
Check Out This CC As someone who plays a fair amount of RPG fantasy games and fantasy dungeon delvers, I can confidently say this looks like something you’d see lining the walls of the hallway leading to a boss. Not the boss, but definitely a boss. Gotta admit; the swatches with the wine and blood are pretty darn cool.
39. Hanging Effigies: World of Warcraft Conversion by linzlu
Check Out This CC For spellcasting, charms, protection, or just general good luck, hang these effigies over your Sim’s doorway to achieve desired results. There may be too many bones used here for my liking, but hey. At least they look cool.
40. The Iron Throne (Sims 4 Edition) by LOolyharb1
Check Out This CC If owning The Iron Throne was this easy, the whole cast of Game of Thrones would’ve been spared their gruesome, grueling deaths. But then we wouldn’t have a cool story, so. I guess you win some, you lose some. At least your Sim will get to experience ultimate lordship in their own home.
